About Memory Match

Memory Match — also known as Concentration or Pairs — is the card game where everything is hidden and nothing is random. Every card you flip is information, and the whole game is how much of it you can hold in your head. PLAYNESKO's neon version deals a 4×4 board for quick rounds or a 6×6 board when you want a real workout.

Flip two cards at a time. If they match, they stay lit; if not, they turn back over — but you saw them, and that is the point. Fewer moves and faster clears mean a higher score, so the game quietly measures exactly one thing: your working memory under light pressure.

How to Play Memory Match

  1. 1Tap or click any card to flip it face up, then flip a second card.
  2. 2If the two cards match, the pair locks in and stays revealed.
  3. 3If they don't match, both flip back down after a moment — remember what and where they were.
  4. 4Clear every pair on the board to finish the round.
  5. 5Your score rewards fewer moves and a faster time; beat your best on either board size.

Tips & Strategy

  • Work the board in a fixed order early on — sweeping rows beats flipping at random, because every flip adds to your mental map.
  • When a card doesn't match, say its position to yourself ('top right corner') — naming locations makes them far easier to recall.
  • Open unseen cards first rather than re-flipping known ones; a miss on new cards still earns you information.
  • On the 6×6 board, anchor your memory to landmarks — corners, edges, and the centre — instead of trying to memorise all 36 positions at once.
