About Anagram

Anagram is a race against the clock: the letters of a real English word arrive scrambled, and you have seconds to see through the jumble and type the answer. Every solve adds time back to the clock, so a sharp run can keep going — and the streak bonus stacks up while you're hot.

It is a different muscle from a guessing game. The answer is already on the screen; the skill is rearranging it in your head. Short words fall instantly once you spot them, longer words pay more, and hesitation is the only real enemy.

How to Play Anagram

  1. 1A scrambled word appears — type your answer with the keyboard or tap the letter tiles.
  2. 2Press Enter to submit. A correct answer scores points and adds seconds to the clock.
  3. 3Longer words are worth more, and consecutive solves build a streak bonus.
  4. 4Stuck? Skip to a new word — it costs a few points, but a frozen clock costs more.
  5. 5When the timer hits zero the run ends and your total posts to the leaderboard.

Tips & Strategy

  • Look for common endings first — 'ing', 'er', 'ed', 'ly'. Locking the tail of a word often makes the front obvious.
  • Group the vowels: seeing which vowels you have (and how many) narrows the shape of the word immediately.
  • If nothing clicks in a few seconds, skip. Points lost to a skip are smaller than points lost to a dead clock.
  • Type the instant you see it — the timer only rewards decisiveness, and a wrong guess costs nothing but a moment.
